Someone did Munchie wrong before he was even born. In an unethical effort to breed mini horses for profit, they tried for a dwarf. Then they starved him, his mother Melanie and several other horses.
We were called in to rescue them and we couldn’t believe our eyes when we saw Munchie. Only a third the size of a standard mini, we didn’t think he would make it. At just a few months old, he was shaking and too weak to stand. He rode back to our ranch, snuggled into the lap of one of our staff... his head resting on her shoulder.
Caring for a mis-bred dwarf requires an expert hand. Under our watchful eye, Munchie recovered and grew a little. His heart, however, grew to enormous proportions. In fact, he became a therapy horse! He loves attention, leads parades and, when he visits schools or senior homes, he wears specially made sneakers so he won’t slip on slick floors. Everyone who visits his pasture is required to give him a good scratch on his head. He insists.
Munchie’s odd body shape is a result of having normal-sized organs crammed into a too-small space. He’ll always need extra care, special feed and close monitoring. But he could also use your love. (In fact, if you were to meet him in person, he would insist on your love!) Sponsor Munchie today!
