Christmas Horses!

News

It’s the Holiday Season! Just a couple of more days before Santa arrives with all his goodies in tow. Our staff and volunteers are as busy as Santa’s elves. There are several new arrivals – horses and donkeys rescued from starvation, neglect and abuse coming into the HfH Ranch. They will be enjoying a safe Christmas – their bellies filled, their medical needs taken care of. Plenty of folks who read our website articles, Facebook and Twitter posts may be home tomorrow getting ready for Christmas, so I wanted to give an early shout-out to all those at the HFH ranches who will be working this holiday. It is a labor of love for the folks who go out and care for these horses – but labor nonetheless. They are appreciated by the horses, burros, minis and yes the HfH Supporters. One way you can show your appreciation is to become a Habitat for Horses Supporter. Your donation saves lives of horses, donkeys and minis who otherwise would still live lives of neglect or worse. Click here to donate now.

Here is a Pinterest Board dedicated to Christmas Horses – too cute!!! Follow Lynn LaGrone’s board CHRISTMAS HORSES on Pinterest.

Keep Our Herd Cool this Summer

Texas heat is hard on our entire herd, but especially for our seniors like Jericho here. Older equines struggle with regulating their body temperature, have trouble breathing, and can become dehydrated quickly. The cost of caring for them adds up fast — can you send a gift and help us prep for the season?
