Meet Stinger

Stinger is a tall guy who is very loyal to his friends and stays close once he has made a good one. Now new things can be a bit scary, but if given time, he settles into exploring. He has had a rider on his back bareback before, he tells us, but it has been a while, and we do not think he knows much about riding. He will take a snaffle bit and follows his equine friend around the pasture with a rider on. Saddle pads are okay, but saddles themselves are pretty scary still. He is working on it, though, and his buddy is helping to show him the ropes under saddle by leading the way! That being said, he is perfectly happy being a friend out in pasture and getting all the grooming from his humans.

Keep Our Herd Cool this Summer

Texas heat is hard on our entire herd, but especially for our seniors like Jericho here. Older equines struggle with regulating their body temperature, have trouble breathing, and can become dehydrated quickly. The cost of caring for them adds up fast — can you send a gift and help us prep for the season?
