Meet Rhonda

Miss Rhonda is as friendly as can be and loves scratches and pets. She’ll find you in pasture and spend some quiet time with you. Her sticking point is when you pull out a halter and a lead rope. She doesn’t mind too much getting a rope put gently over her neck, but says a hard no to haltering and very much is not a fan of any sort of pressure on the rope or halter. We’re working hard at creating the trust she needs in people to allow us to teach her about kind haltering and she’s making progress, however, we still have a long way to go together. Think you’re the person to show Rhonda that haltering can be kind and even a fun experience? She’ll be waiting for you in pasture two. P.S.She says bring snacks, pls..

Keep Our Herd Cool this Summer

Texas heat is hard on our entire herd, but especially for our seniors like Jericho here. Older equines struggle with regulating their body temperature, have trouble breathing, and can become dehydrated quickly. The cost of caring for them adds up fast — can you send a gift and help us prep for the season?
