Meet Liberty

This beautiful paint mare came to us recently and has shown us that she’s a little nervous about people. Being approached can feel threatening, but if you stay calm and offer her a snack and a scratch on her neck she’ll consider being your friend. Once she has a halter on she’s very well behaved. She leads, she stands for the farrier, she loads into a trailer and has shown us that she can pace as well as trot! We’re still working on assessing what she may know under saddle, but with time and attention she could learn to trust a human again and would likely thrive with some personalized attention.

Keep Our Herd Cool this Summer

Texas heat is hard on our entire herd, but especially for our seniors like Jericho here. Older equines struggle with regulating their body temperature, have trouble breathing, and can become dehydrated quickly. The cost of caring for them adds up fast — can you send a gift and help us prep for the season?
