Someone’s greed harmed Munchie before he was even born. Standing at one-third the size of a standard mini horse, dwarves like Munchie are what happens when people prioritize profit over animal welfare.

Irresponsible breeders aren’t just for show-winning dog breeds or prized felines… Horses, donkeys and minis also fall victim to breeders who want to cash in on certain traits. And while there are many responsible breeders, unscrupulous ones either neglect their horses because they need expensive care … or simply turn horses loose to fend for themselves when they realize they aren’t just a source of quick cash.

We know you agree — horses deserve respect and dignity. And together we can bring more awareness to this problem!

• Speak out against the repercussions of irresponsible horse breeding – and to share Munchie’s story.
• Adopt equines from a credible rescue, like Habitat for Horses, instead of buying one from an irresponsible breeder.
