We have a new baby here at Habitat for Horses... and more!

News

Gina, a 6 year old beauty of a Quarter Horse, was surrendered to Habitat for Horses underweight and pregnant back in January 2015. She has given birth a wonderful little colt – we call him Ty. Both his mom, Gina, and Ty are available for adoption! Every horse deserves a loving home! Spread the word – let’s find them a new home! They cannot be adopted separately until Ty is weaned – but we will consider giving them both to someone who knows how to care for a nursing mare and her baby. These pictures will surely tug your heart:

If you are look for a different kind of four legged friend to give a loving home – Habitat for Horses now also has several pot bellied pigs, a couple of adorable kittens and 2 wonderful ranch dogs that need homes. Take a peek at the pictures below. You can view more pictures and information by going to http://www.habitatforhorses.org/adoptable-pot-bellied-pigs-cats-and-dogs/

Keep Our Herd Cool this Summer

Texas heat is hard on our entire herd, but especially for our seniors like Jericho here. Older equines struggle with regulating their body temperature, have trouble breathing, and can become dehydrated quickly. The cost of caring for them adds up fast — can you send a gift and help us prep for the season?
