Video - Alma's Baby

News

Good Sunday Morning to Ya’ll. As promised, here is a short video of Alma and her new born foal. He was born just a couple of weeks ago. His Mom, Alma, was a rescue from a nearby county that came to Habitat for Horses late last fall. She did wonderfully during the pregnancy, bringing into the world this little guy.

One of our horses met her goal yesterday in our Spring Fundraiser! Tomorrow, we will be announcing the first winner of our fundraiser and the new name of the Tennessee Walker Sweetheart. Just in case this person hasn’t chosen a name yet, send in your favorite mare names to help them out! There are still 2 more horses out there who will get new names in our fundraiser – find out more.

Keep Our Herd Cool this Summer

Texas heat is hard on our entire herd, but especially for our seniors like Jericho here. Older equines struggle with regulating their body temperature, have trouble breathing, and can become dehydrated quickly. The cost of caring for them adds up fast — can you send a gift and help us prep for the season?
