Meet our newest rescue - she is cute as can be
She was found wandering lost and hungry. The sheriff’s department kept her for 15 days at their stables, giving her owners plenty of time to realize that their horse had gone missing and contact them. No one did.
Habitat for Horses was contacted by the sheriffs – could we take her in? Of course, we said yes. You – our supporters – understand why. After a medical check up, food, farrier – if needed, … after all things that all responsible horse owners do for their horses – we will find her a new forever home. A home where she will be loved, treated with the respect she deserves.
We say this time and again but it is so true – none of this could happen without *you* – our supporters. In places where organizations like Habitat for Horses do not exist, horses are could be auctioned off to the highest bidder. Auction horses could wind up back in abusive situations or sold to kill buyers. Habitat for Horses takes great care to find adopters who will be responsible, loving people.
