Kroger Share Card: 

You no longer have to carry a separate share card to give to Habitat For Horses when you shop at Kroger's!  Under the new Kroger Neighbor-to-Neighbor program, you will no longer be required to present a share card at the check-out counter when you wish to donate to HFH. Instead, you will have a HFH identification number electronically encoded onto your KrogerPlus card that will identify HFH as the organization you wish to support. Kroger has set aside a fund of one million dollars to be divided up among  all participating nonprofit agencies. The amount each agency receives will be based on the number of times that agency’s identification number is used by customers in a given year. That means the more you use your KrogerPlus Card, the more HFH receives.

Having the HFH identification number added to your KrogerPlus card is as simple as having the cashier scan a bar code that contains the HFH identification number. You only have to do this once a year. (The current Neighbor to Neighbor Program is effective May 1, 2008 to April 30, 2009.) After the bar code has been scanned, the horses will benefit every time you shop for an entire year.  You can download the form here:  kroger_letter.pdf.
