Markings:
Arrival date:
September 2006
Location:
Alvin, TX
Adoption Fee:
$100
Temperament:
Zoe seems to be really
sweet and enjoys being
brushed and taken care
of. She spooks easily.
Physical problems / health issues:
Zoe had a reaction to
her shots and had to be
given 12cc of Banamine.
She was ill in Nov.2007
and lost about 50
pounds, so she needs
to gain weight. Zoe has
had some thrush in all
four feet but that seems
to be under control.
Her rear end is a little
weak, she is sickle
hocked and probably
built poorly. She needs
a lot of grain to build
her up, but once she has
gained weight she seems
to retain it well.
Interaction with horses:
Zoe has a difficult time
with other horses. I
believe her sickle hock
condition is part of the
problem. She is usually
the low one on the food
chain. Sometimes she
will walk out of her
stall, she doesn't like
a gate closed. She will
walk away if another
horse wants her food.
Interaction with people:
She is gentle around
people, easy to lead but
not ready to be easily
caught, except with
food. You can medicate
her, spray her, and do
pretty much whatever you
want with her and she is
fine. Treats help.

Zoe was surrendered in
lieu of seizure.
