Whitney

DOB: 2006
Height:
Growing
Color: Black
Markings:
Star Arrival
Date: January
2007
Location:
Pleasonton, TX
Adoption Fee:
$250
Temperament:
Smart as a whip.
Physical problems / health issues:
None.
Interaction with horses:
Great – She is in a
mixed herd with old and
young horses. There is a
lead gelding and a lead
mare and Whitney knows
her place.
Interaction with people:
Whitney is slow to
trust, but she really
enjoys attention and
handling once she is
comfortable with you.
History: She was
seized due to abuse and
neglect.
Training / abilities:
Typical for
yearling. She can be
trimmed. She will lead,
but it is off and on and
she is very
hesitant. Whitney
responds to verbal
commands well.
Experience level
required to work with
this horse:
Intermediate.
Has this horse ever:
Bucked? No Reared? No
Kicked?
No Bitten? No Other?
Well
mannered and even
tempered.
Ground handling:
Catch? Yes Lead?
Iffy Tie?
Unknown
Trailer?
With coaxing and a
feed bucket. Clip?
No Trim Feet?
Yes
Bathe? Thinks the
water hose is a horse
eating beast that must
be killed. I can wash
her with a bucket of
water and sponge though.
Special needs:
None.
Other comments:
Whitney has great
potential. My vet loves
her butt!?! Says she has
cutting
potential. Whitney is
afraid still of the lead
rope, and still needs to
be caught with a
cookie. If you raise
your voice, she’s
gone. She has made great
strides in trusting
people and will continue
to improve with time.
