Wild Sky
Breed:
Paint Registered?: Sex:
Mare DOB:
1987
Height:
Color: Brown and
white
Markings:
Arrival
Date: June 2007
Location:
Sulphur Springs, TX
Adoption Fee:
In Review
Temperament:
Very gentle.
Physical problems /
health issues: In
foal. Also, I think she
might be losing vision
in her right eye. She
seems to be jumpy when
you approach her on that
side.
Interaction with horses:
Kind of stand-offish.
Not aggressive, relaxed,
just not a team player.
Interaction with people:
Little shy and timid but
coming around. She is
one that doesn't mind
attention on her terms.
She gets bored very
easily. Not aggressive
but not really curious
either. She handles well
and easy to get along
with but you have
to show her you’re
interested because she
doesn't seek your
attention.
History: Seized
by law enforcement.
Training / abilities:
Not yet evaluated.
Experience level
required to work with
this horse: I
would say she would need
someone with moderate
experience because she
will (on occasion) turn
away from you so you
won't catch her. She
doesn't run she just
doesn't like people to
catch her. Once she
realizes your not
hurting her or not
giving up she will give
in.
Has this horse ever:
Bucked? No.
Reared? No.
Kicked?
No. Bitten? No. Other?
Ground handling:
Catch? Yes.
Lead?
Yes. Tie?
Yes.
Trailer?
Yes. Clip?
Not yet attempted.
Trim Feet?
She does well
with this. Bathe?
Not yet attempted.
Special needs:
Other comments:
She is a sweet horse
that is a little older
and "set in her ways".
She probably do better
as an "only child". She
just won't compete for
attention.
