TemperamentSun Frost enjoys attention and is easy to catch and halter.  She has to be reminded to slow down on the lead but after a minute she remembers to follow.  She just gets excited and has to take a minute to slow herself down and remember not to crowd.  She does better every day and just needs some one-on-one attention and repetition.  Working on respecting your space is the main thing she needs to learn, but she is a quick learner and shows improvement each time.

Physical problems / health issues: None known

Interaction with horses: Gets along with other horses, can be a little aggressive with one of the other mares at feeding time but nothing out of the ordinary.

Interaction with people: Loves attention, will come right up and allow herself to be haltered.  She likes to be brushed and loves to sprayed with the water hose.

History: Seized by law enforcement.

Training / abilities:   Easy to saddle up and accepts a bit pretty easily.  Stands for mounting but needs more work on reining.  We were told she has been ridden on trails in the past but she needs a tune-up.  She has never offered to buck, bite or rear, but is not sure what to do once mounted.  However, she is a quick learner and would make a great horse for the person who spends time with her, one-on-one.

Experience level required to work with this horse: Intermediate until her ground manners get to where they need to be.  Once she slows down she will much easier to handle on the ground.

Has this horse ever: Bucked? No Reared? No Kicked? Only at one other mare at feeding time    Bitten? No Other?

Ground handling:Catch? Yes Lead? Yes Tie? Yes Trailer? Yes Clip? Trim Feet? Yes Bathe?Yes  : She is making progress with her ground manners and is learning not to crowd when she comes for attention.  She needs a little work on being tied ..... she ties but sometimes tends to shuffle a little .... again, just needs repetition and time.

Special needs:  Sun Frost would benefit from a person with basic training knowledge and the time to devote to her daily.

Other comments: Sun Frost has shown improvement in several areas with minimal time and work.  She really enjoys attention and grooming, likes a good bath, gives all four feet easily, easy to catch and halter, stands to be saddled and mounted, just needs a good tune-up or some basic re-training and she will be a great horse.  She is beautiful and healthy, has a gorgeous coat, mane and tail, and is a very easy keeper.
