Temperament:
Song is very sweet and
sociable, she loves for
people to pet her and be
around her. She doesn’t
mind hugs and kisses,
and adores being
groomed. She is spoiled
and expects to be fed at
the same time every day!
She lets you know when
you are late. She is
affectionate and is a
terrific mother. She
shares her foal with us.
Physical problems /
health issues:
She came in with
starvation, and mild
rain rot on her back.
She is
very healthy now and has
no problems.
Interaction with horses:
Song seems to get along
very well with the mare
being kept in the stall
across from her. In the
pasture, she is not
really sociable with the
others with her, but is
not aggressive.
Interaction with people:
Loves them! Super sweet
mare. Song’s foster home
believes that she was
once very special to
somebody, as she craves
attention and will stand
forever being groomed
and loved on. She likes
treats and is very
gentle when taking them.
She loves attention from
anyone. Now prefers to
be outside and free to
roam especially now with
her foal. She is not in
a stall, she has
complete freedom of the
barn and has not been in
a pasture since we’ve
had her.
History:
Seized by law
enforcement. Formerly
used as a broodmare.
Training / abilities:
See video above. She was evaluated on February 18, 2011 and did great. She can be ridden with just a halter. She is an older gal, but has a lot of doog riding years left in her. When the trainer asked for a canter, we saw that her hock locked and she was uncomfortable. Light riding at walk/trot would be perfect for her.

Other comments:
Song’s pregnancy was
quite difficult since
she gained so much
weight. Though she was
uncomfortable she was
still her sweet self. I
was a novice at this but
she trusted me to the
point that she allowed
me to work with her
during her delivery. I
positioned her on the
ground and delivered her
foal, a beautiful
healthy filly, Rosemaria.
The filly was born on
Easter Sunday at 2:45am.
Song allowed me to clean
the sack and afterbirth
from the filly and she
shared her with me
immediately. Song is
very protective of her
foal and cautions her
when she gets too far
away.
