Simply Special is a
highly spirited and
intelligent mare.
Physical problems / health issues:
None known.
Interaction with horses:
Special is turned out
with my horses and runs
in a 25 acre pasture
with access to the barn
where they all come in
for breakfast and
dinner.
Interaction with people:
Special used to avoid
being caught, but she
has come around and is
easy to catch. Her
shyness is gone.
History:
Special was awarded to
this organization as
part of a seizure.
Training
/ abilities:
Comes in to her stall
for meals, stays in
during the day and is
turned out to graze at
night. She is very good
in the round pen wearing
her saddle and
bridle. Wears jugs
hanging on both
sides. She has good
retention. We can leave
her for weeks and pick
up where we left off
with no fear. Likes her
bath with the hose.
Experience level required to work with this horse:
Experienced, as she is
not yet fully trusting
of people. She has
overcome her shyness and
fear, but will still
need an experienced
trainer.
