Markings: Star

Temperament: Shadow Man is very playful and overall is well behaved when he respects his handler. He's very approachable, though also very smart. He does have a biting issue, this seems more habitual than truly out of meanness.  He can be corrected and corrected, but he will still do it.  Any adopter needs to be on their guard with this issue at all times.

Physical problems / health issues: None known.

Interaction with horses: Gets along fine with other horses.

Interaction with people:

History: He was donated to the organization due to biting, he did receive professional training for this issue, but still has a tendency to bite people when he knows he can get away with it.  If you let your guard down, he will take advantage and revert to the biting.

Training / abilities: Well trained, been shown extensively. Would make a good trail horse or even a parade horse.  He is gorgeous, has great skills under saddle and is a smooth ride.  He stands well for mounting and for tacking, picking up feet.  Neck reins and direct reins, very responsive and has a lot of skill under saddle.  He could still be shown, but with his recent trailering issues, he might be best kept around the ranch or farm.

Experience level required to work with this horse: Experienced on the ground, strong intermediate under saddle.

Has this horse ever:  Bucked? No. Reared? No. Kicked? No. Bitten? Yes, consistent biter when he knows he can. Handlers cannot let their guard down around him on the ground.  Other?

Ground handling: Catch? Yes. Lead? Yes. Tie? Yes. Trailer? Yes, however, he seems to have an issue now with exiting the trailer like it's on fire.  This will be assessed shortly. Clip? Yes. Trim Feet? Yes. Bathe? Yes.

Special needs:

Other comments: Shadow can get pushy at feeding time.
