Explain overall Health: Rue is currently being treated for founder. The vet treating her believes she will recover enough to be a rideable horse again but any potential adoptor needs to understand her history and be alert for any signs of foot tenderness. It is recommended that she be barefoot and have a natural trim from any farrier. Otherwise, her health is good, she is an easy keeper, maintains her weight well, and her teeth are fine.

Explain manners: Rue has excellent manners. She is being treated for founder and is cooperative with people because she knows they are trying to help her. Currently as part of the founder treatment she is wearing glued on shoes. The vet treating her wants her to remain barefoot once the founder is cleared up. The ranch staff has found no bad habits and has only good things to say about Rue.
