Quarter Horse

Mare
DOB: 1992
Height:
14.2 hh
Color: Sorrel
Markings: star
Location:
Fredericksburg, TX
Adoption Fee:
$250
Temperament:
Olympia is wary around
people and can be
skittish. She is quiet,
gentle, and smart.
Physical problems /
health issues:
Very healthy. Her left
flank has old marks from
kicks made by another
horse but these are
healed. Her mane and
tail had been cut very
short and are growing in
nicely.
Interaction with horses:
Olympia is in a herd of
a dozen horses plus some
longhorn cattle. She is
in the middle of the
herd and wants to be
part of the group. She
will stand up for
herself but is not an
instigator.
Interaction with people:
Still fearful of people
although she is making
progress. If she thinks
you are too close she
will back away. She
will shyly eat cookies
from your hand and will
let you pet and rub her
with a little gentle
coaxing.
History:
Olympia was donated in
lieu of seizure. Her
owner had a number of
horses and was not
taking care of them
properly.
Training / abilities:
Olympia was likely a
broodmare and has had no
training. She is smart
and should be able to
learn fast once her
training is started.
She has a lot of
potential.

Olympia is a lovely
Quarterhorse mare with a
classic Quarterhorse
head. She was left
without much human
contact for many years
and is looking for
someone to trust so she
can relax and be the
easygoing mare she has
the potential to be.
