Temperament: Very confident and curious; needs better ground manners which we’re working on; middle of the herd, but is very food greedy and will run and kick to get to her spot.

Physical problems / health issues: None.

Interaction with horses: She is fine with the others, except at meal times, but she isn’t the top horse so she just really puts on a show

Interaction with people: Very friendly, but needs to learn to keep her distance from people. She can be pushy and nosy, which is cute, but dangerous.

History: Nadine was part of a Walker County seizure.  She was donated to HfH with her dam and another horse.

Training / abilities: None, yet. Not sure how old she is and she’s not very big so she hasn’t been started yet. We work with her on the ground getting her to lead, tie safely, and yield her hindquarters. She is getting much better at this and will lead well, but I still don’t leave her tied long and unattended

Experience level required to work with this horse: Intermediate, as she hasn’t been worked with a lot as a youngster.

Has this horse ever:  Bucked? No Reared? No Kicked? No Bitten? No Other? She kicks out at feed time. I separate them usually to prevent this. Have never seen her buck or rear, and have not worried she will bite. She seems very friendly, just very hungry all the time still!

Ground handling: Catch? Yes Lead? Yes, but needs work Tie? Yes Trailer? Yes, but needs work Clip? Unknown Trim Feet? Unknown Bathe? Unknown  She is very easy to catch, leads well, ties okay but still don’t leave her unattended, trailer needs some work, haven’t clipped her, but she is getting better about her baths.

Special needs:  A forever family that wants a young willing horse to train and love.

Other comments: Nadine is a very pretty horse who shows a lot of promise.  She is ready for training and will make an awesome riding horse when she is finished.
