“These assessments are based on how these horses respond in their current environment and any change in their current environment, riders, diet, etc could have an effect on the horses' immediate performance. Horses need time to adjust when moved to new surroundings. We highly recommend you visit, spend time with the equines and evaluate the equine before making a decision"

Explain overall training:  Although an excellent trail horse, Maya does have her moments.  She has been known to spin around while on the trail if she decides she wants to go home.  She doesn’t do this very often; however, she would not be recommended for a timid or beginner rider.  If you are a confident rider, she is not a problem.  She also does not like to stand to be remounted while out on the trail.  Maya can be a bit strong willed, but is a very sweet mare who is drop-dead gorgeous.  She would also make an excellent English mount for a  more advanced child rider.

Explain history if known:  Part of a seizure in Palestine, Texas.  Was adopted into a loving home where she received a lot of love and attention.  Finances forced her return to Habitat.  Maya arrived in great shape and looking even more beautiful than the last time I saw her!
