Horses need time to adjust when moved to new surroundings. We highly recommend you visit, spend time with the equines and evaluate the equine before making a decision"

Overall is Healthy

 A

Explain overall Health:  Little Joe is very healthy.  However, due to malnourishment, he has rickets.  The condition is permanent according to the vet.  His knees touch and his feet splay out.  But, he has no trouble running around in the pasture.  The only time when it causes him trouble is when he backs up quickly.  He’s still very young, and recently recovered his weight.  It’s possible that when he gains size and strength he will improve.

Explain overall socialization: Joe is sweet, curious and friendly.  So friendly and curious in fact, that he can be a pest!  He’s a lovely little guy, and  now that he’s back up to weight, he’s a typical rambunctious, fun, curious baby.

Explain manners:  Joe is easy to catch and handle, no trouble at all.  He fights the farrier a little at first, but gives in.  That’s mostly because he’s a baby and not out of fear.  He’s great to handle on the ground, and loves water!

Explain overall training:  Little Joe is a baby, and has no saddle training.   Because of his issues in his hind end, he likely will end up companion only.  It’s possible he could be ok for light riding, but only time will tell.

Explain history if known:  Seized and awarded to HfH, was very malnourished.
