Horses need time to adjust when moved to new surroundings. We highly recommend you visit, spend time with the equines and evaluate the equine before making a decision"

Explain overall Health:  Jewel has rickets which the vet says is a permanent condition.  Her hind knees touch and her hooves splay out.  She loses her balance if she tries to back up.  This condition is due to malnutrition as a foal.  She has recovered her weight now and it’s possible this improve some as she gains strength.

Explain overall socialization: Jewel is sweet and wants to be petted, but she gets scared if you come at her.  If you take your time, she’s very friendly.  She’s gaining more trust as time goes by, and getting more curious.  As she has gained weight a strength, she’s acting more like a proper baby should.  She’s great with other horses, at the lower end of the pecking order.

Explain history if known:  Seized and awarded to HfH, was very malnourished.
