Bud
Breed: Paint/Mustang Cross
Sex:
Gelding
DOB: 2002
Height:
Color:
Buckskin/White/Black
Markings: Black
in mane & tail
Location:
Hunt, TX Adoption Fee:
$350
Temperament:
Very sweet, curious,
and energetic!
Physical problems /
health issues:
Missing one eye, but
this does not bother him
at all.
Interaction with horses:
Does well in a mixed
herd of 2 geldings and 1
mare. He can be
dominant, but takes
discipline from the
others well. They are
all pastured together
and share a round bale
to which they have free
choice. They are
separated at feeding
time 2X per day as he
will help himself to the
others food (and they
let him!)
Interaction with people:
Very sweet, seeks out
affection, and likes
attention. He knows his
name and usually comes
(or at least looks!)
when called. He tries
to be dominant but
learns quickly when you
stand your ground.
History:
Part of a multi-horse
seizure.
Training / abilities:
Is halter broke, but
has not been ridden.
Is gaited.

Special needs:
Other comments:
Bud lost his eye in
a barbed wire fence
accident when he was
about 2. He was missing
for 2 days and was found
tangled up in it. I
think being treated for
his injuries is possibly
why he is so easy going
and lets you do
practically anything to
him (although he does
NOT like fly spray). He
is a super sweet horse
and is ready for
training. He learns
quickly and his missing
eye does not seem to
bother him at all. He
is not spooky on that
side and has adjusted
well and I think he is
intelligent enough and
has such a great
temperament that he
could be trained to do
any discipline!
