Temperament: Mojo is a very sweet boy wanting affection. He has a willing attitude and once you show him something he tries his best to do what is asked. Mojo has made great strides in the short time he has been here. He is not the herd leader, but is second in charge.

Physical problems / health issues: None known.

Interaction with horses: He lives with 2 geldings and 2 miniature donkeys currently and does just fine unless the young horse comes too close, then he runs him off. Mojo wants the majority of the attention. He very much respects the older gelding. Not with mares as of yet, just gelded.

Interaction with people: Mojo is very curious and will come trotting up whenever he sees you. He seems to like just being near people as close as possible. He will call out to me if he hears me outside.

History: Mojo was surrendered by his owner. A neighbor had caught Mojo running at large in the neighborhood with injuries so she took him home to her pasture and kept him there until she contacted us. Mojo was able to escape from his enclosure where his owner lived and was rarely at home, this was near a major highway and the neighbors were concerned for his safety. When contacted the owner stated that he did not want the pony any longer.

Training / abilities: Magic Mojo has never been handled as far as teaching ground work or standing for farrier, etc., but is responding nicely to ground work now.  After just 2 days with him we were able to lead, back, lunge, pick up feet (not for trimming though, yet), still skittish but willing, especially for food bucket!   He has some fears about reaching for his right side, but I have been able to pet him all over and he quickly learns what I am asking of him.  Not afraid of dogs at all.  He trailers well, but needs patience when loading him (past unpleasant experiences apparently).  He is finding out that if he calls to us when we are outside that he gets attention and now talks to us constantly!

Experience level required to work with this horse: Intermediate.

Has this horse ever:  Bucked? No Reared? No Kicked? No Bitten? No Other?  Shies away if in fear.

Ground handling: Catch? Yes Lead? Yes Tie?  Trailer? Yes, with some patience. Clip?  Trim Feet? Not yet, but should come with some work. Bathe?

Special needs:

Other comments: Mojo could do anything with some time and training. He is very sweet and his willing attitude will win you over! He is very beautiful. He stood patiently while we removed tangles from his mane.
