Temperament: Magic is sweet, friendly, and curious.

Physical problems / health issues: He was very skinny when brought into HfH care but he has filled out and gained muscle.  He may stay small but he is not finished growing yet.

Interaction with horses: Although he is young, Magic is one of the herd alphas.  He can hold his own in a mixed herd. 

Interaction with people: Magic is curious about people and will come right up to check you out and introduce himself.  He loves to be groomed and enjoys standing there for a good scratch if you have the time.  Cookies, apples, carrots, or similar treats are also welcome.    

History: Magic was donated with his family including his dam, his Paso Fino sire, and his twin brother.  They had all been physically neglected by their previous owner.

Training / abilities: Magic will be an excellent horse once trained.  He is willing and can be easily taught.  He has learned to be haltered and led on a soft lead rope.  He is a little spooky with new things but learns to accept them and move past his initial apprehension.  He listens well and picks up the routine.

Experience level required to work with this horse: He needs someone experienced with young horses.

Special needs: A good, loving forever family who will groom him, feed him properly, and who have other horses for him to play with.

Other comments: Magic is young and socializes a lot with the other boy horses.  He loves to play and tries to move up in the pecking order.  He is fun to watch.  He definitely has the Paso gaits when he trots and runs.  His mane was said to be over a yard long and tangled in one big knot when he came into HfH care so it had to be cut back but has started to grow out again.  His tail is to the ground.
