Lucky
Lil
Breed:
Arabian/Quarterhorse cross (Quarab) Sex:
Mare DOB:
1996 Height:
~13.2 hh
Location:
Sinton, TX
Adoption Fee:
$100
Temperament:
Lil is somewhat
high-strung. She will
become flighty if she is
pushed past her comfort
zone. Every day seems
to be a new day with Lil,
as things that were
acceptable to her one
day will frighten her
the next.
Physical problems /
health issues:
Lil has a problem with
her back and cannot
carry a rider. She
seems to have a weakness
in her hind end, and is
pasture sound, although
her gaits look a little
‘off’.
Interaction with horses:
In her first foster
home, she was dominant
with her foster mom's
older mare and tried to
kick her, but
they became like two
peas in a pod. She's
currently in a herd
situation and is the
lead mare, she does
attempt to kick the
other horses, especially
at feeding time, so
should be separated for
feedings
Interaction with people:
Lil is not difficult to
work with, when her
‘person’ is aware of her
temperament and quirks.
She does require a bold
handler; she has bonded
well with my husband and
will go anywhere with
him. Once she is
comfortable with her
handler, Lil is very
friendly and will
readily approach for
interaction.
History:
She was donated by her
owner who could no
longer properly care for
her. She was a broodmare
and doesn't appear to
have any riding history.
Training / abilities:
She is a companion only,
due to physical
problems.

still not entirely sure
what is expected of her
