Markings:
Flaxen mane & tail
Location:
Madisonville, TX Adoption Fee:

Temperament:
Little Velvet is sweet
and cooperative. She is
happy and curious.
Physical problems /
health issues:
None known.
Interaction with horses:
Little Velvet is the
littlest horse in the
herd. She gets along
well with others and
isn’t picked on. She
seems happy to play with
anyone but has a special
friend in Kendra. She
can be a bit food
aggressive, but this has
improved. She is very
protective of her feed
and has kicked at
feeding time. So I spent
a couple weeks standing
right next to her and
touching her while she
ate, and the kicking has
stopped.
Interaction with people:
She is curious about
people and not at all
afraid. Velvet comes
right up to anyone and
does not avoid being
caught and worked with.
She loves attention and
loves to be messed with
and brushed.
History:
Little Velvet was
donated by Galveston
County.
Training / abilities:
She has been led around
with children on her but
does not seem to know
about reining. I think
that she has some
hackney in her, or some
type of gaited pony. She
has a lot of action when
she trots and moves. She
would probably look
super pretty pulling a
cart!
Experience level
required to work with
this horse:

age.

Other comments:
Little Velvet is
beautiful. She is happy
and full of life. She
loves playing and gets
along well with people
and horses. She needs
someone to give her some
special attention.
Velvet is tiny and
delicate and to see her
is to fall in love with
her.
