Explain overall Health:  She is in excellent health, very sound. Stays fat on coastal and grass pasture. She does not need grain, I gave her small amts of “Safe and Sound” as a treat and it gave her diarrhea. She loves treats! She doesn’t like apples, though.

Explain manners:  When she was delivered to me, I was told she hopped right in the trailer, I’ve never trailered her myself. She can play games when you want to catch her, but overall is fine. I think she was smacked with the crown of the halter when haltering in her previous life because she is wary about being hit, if you go slowly, she’s fine. She’s great with her feet, but she will test. You must mean it when you ask. If she knows you know, you won’t have any problems. She does not like fly spray! Must be wiped on.

Explain overall training:  She has had an easy time at pasture and stalled at night. Occasionally ridden around the pasture and neighborhood, taken a few English lessons. She loves going out on the trail and is bold, interested, and moves out well. Fun to ride! When working in the pasture, she shows she’s still a bit green. She will lean on the corners and be difficult to steer on a circle. She will rush in her up transitions – trot and canter. She will resist cantering, and once in the gait she will rush. Her down transitions are easy. Has no issues whatsoever with poles or small jumps.  She will take advantage of a timid person.  I think she’d be spectacular as a cart horse. She is smart, beautiful, sassy, opinionated, expressive, she’s a great little horse!

Explain history if known: Kamry was seized by law enforcement and awarded to Habitat for Horses. She had been neglected and was emaciated.
