Temperament: Jordan is an incredibly intelligent mare. She is dominant with other horses but not with people. She looks to you for guidance and watches everything you do. Super curious and sensitive.

Physical problems / health issues: None known.

Interaction with horses: Alpha mare type, no nonsense.

Interaction with people: Somewhat shy still but very interested in people.

History: Jordan was thought to be unhandled all her life until recently. After catching and haltering it was obvious that she knew at least how to be haltered and led.

Training / abilities: Just starting on her training. Jordan “learned” how to lead in a few minutes; apparently she’s has had some training in the past. She is rusty but halters and leads well; super quick learner.

Experience level required to work with this horse: Experienced.

Has this horse ever:  Bucked? No. Reared? No. Kicked? At horses, not people. Bitten? Horses, not people. Other?

Ground handling: Catch? Yes. Lead? YesTie? Yes. Trailer? Yes. Clip? Unknown. Trim Feet? Yes Bathe? Yes.

Special needs: Experienced handler or trainer until she is worked more and her abilities can be assessed better.

Other comments: Jordan is an amazingly smart mare. She either knows much more than we originally thought or she is a genius. Maybe both. You can see the wheels turning in her head while she watches to see what you do next. She is sensitive but not flighty. This mare thinks before she acts and picks things up very quickly.
