Temperament: Jamie is an extremely sweet and trusting mare, great ground manners, loves attention.

Physical problems / health issues: Jamie has dropped pasterns on both front feet, worse on the left front. It has been recommended because of this that she not be ridden. Her left front foot tends to club.

Interaction with horses: Jamie appears to be one of those mares that can get along with just about any other equine, she seems to love them all.  She was with a gelding for a bit and did great with him, they were very bonded.  She is great with mares also.

Interaction with people: Jamie LOVES EVERYONE!  She is very personable and just wants to be everyone's best friend forever.  She's an absolute love!

History: Donated in lieu of law enforcement seizure. She was a pleasure horse. She did have a mule baby in May 2006 since she was pastured with a jack.

Training / abilities: Her ground manners are great.  She stands still for grooming, bathing, etc. and lifts her feet readily for cleaning and trimming.   Jamie is green broke to ride, but because of her pastern issues riding should not be permitted.

Experience level required to work with this horse: Advanced Beginner, can get a bit pushy at feeding time since she's hungry.

Has this horse ever:  Bucked? No. Reared? No. Kicked? No. Bitten? No. Other? No.

Ground handling: Catch? Yes. Lead? Yes. Tie? Yes. Trailer? Yes, walks right in and rides well. Clip? Yes. Trim Feet? Yes. Bathe? Yes.

Special needs: None.  Regular hoof trimming to keep her heels down.

Other comments:  What a fabulously sweet mare this is, seems like an all-around great horse. Such a wonderful attitude and so trusting despite having been starved at one point. Jamie was adopted in 2006 and returned in 2008 due to a change in her adopter's circumstances. Her adopter adored her and couldn't say enough good things about this sweet mare.
