Temperament: We like Honey Bear a lot, she is a sweetheart.  She greets us at the gate for pets and love.

Interaction with horses: Honey Bear seems to get along really well with our other mare and our gelding. Our mare has taken her under her wing and plays protector for her, but she is the bottom of the herd.  She doesn’t seem to care for the minis or the donkeys that are in the big turn out pasture, but isn't really aggressive/kicking at them unless they try to run her into the herd.  Gets along well with small dogs and cats, and our goat.

Interaction with people: She doesn’t talk to us yet but she is very interested in everything that we are doing.  She lets our son love her through the fence.  She seems more comfortable with me than my husband though, I think this is just something that needs a little work.  Loves to be brushed. She is still kind of timid with us though.

History: We don’t really know much other than I was told that she came from a trail operation with kids.

Training / abilities: We are told that she is trail safe and for general western riding.   We haven't ridden her yet, or even tried to place a saddle yet.  We are trying to let her get comfortable with everything since she's only been here a short time.

Physical problems / health issues:  She has a scar on back hoof that goes up into the hair line, the vet states that it is not a current problem.  She does seem to have a little drag in that leg.  It doesn’t stop her from running and moving in the pasture.  Honey B is still really ribby but she's eating really well and gaining weight.

Experience level required to work with this horse: Beginner.

Has this horse ever:  Bucked? No Reared? No Kicked? at the donkeys in the big pasture when they get to close to her rear.  Bitten? No Other?

Ground handling: Catch? yes Lead? yes  Tie? Trailer?  Clip? Trim Feet? was told that she squealed and  kicked  at farrier once  Bathe?
