Temperament: Very gentle on ground, currently in pasture with 3 mares, 4 mini’s, 2 donkeys, ducks and geese.  Does not bother cats or dogs.

Physical problems / health issues: No health issues.  Did have a cut on the right ankle, healed but calcified and the vet has recommended that he not be ridden.

Interaction with horses:  Gets along well with other horses, you can put him in a pasture with just about any horse, BUT you can not put him in with aggressive horses.  He does not defend himself.  He would rather walk away, so aggressive horses would hurt him.

Interaction with people: Loves people, comes right up to anyone in the pasture.  You can lead him with a lead rope around his neck.  He will follow with out a lead most of the time.

History: Was a race horse, until his ankle was cut.  The owner said that to continue racing him, they would have to inject cortisone in his ankle and he didn’t want to do that to Hezekiah.  The owner said that Hezekiah would be a good light riding horse, actually he described him as a good parade horse, because he is bomb proof.

Training / abilities: Was trained as a race horse, raced for 2 years.  Hezekiah was recently evaluated by a trainer and the trainer’s opinion is that Hezekiah needs 30 days of retraining. He is still under weight to ride, so he was not ridden.   While evaluating him in a round pen, he became a little lame on his right front leg.  The vet recommended that he not be ridden due to his injury.

Experience level required to work with this horse: Beginner on the ground.

Has this horse ever:  Bucked? No Reared? No Kicked?  No Bitten? No  Other?

Ground handling: Catch? Yes Lead? Yes Tie? Yes Trailer? Yes   Clip? Not known Trim Feet? Yes, he fell asleep when the farrier was doing his hooves.   Bathe?  Not known

Special needs:  Can not be put in with aggressive horses.

Other comments:  Registered with the Jockey Club
