Haley

Mustang or cross Sex:
Mare DOB:
2004
Height:
14 hh
Color: Dark bay
Markings: Star
Location:
Hitchcock, TX
Adoption Fee:
$500
Temperament:
Haley was skittish at
first due to lack of
handling, but is coming
around more and more.
She is still a little
shy with strangers but
really a sweet horse.
She still doesn't stick
around much of her own
accord when free in the
pasture, she's
tentative. With daily
interaction, she's much
better. With a bit of
time and training, she
will make someone a nice
mare. She comes up
easily to people she
knows and is easy to
approach and saddle.
Physical problems / health issues:
We have to be careful
when we change hay
suppliers because she
will colic so we keep
meds on hand for her.
Not bad, just mild
colic.
Interaction with horses:
She tends to be a loner
but does take up for
herself with the mares
we have.
Interaction with people:
Haley does love to be
hugged once she knows
you and will come in
from the pasture to
greet you.
History:
Seized by law
enforcement, then
awarded to HfH.
Training / abilities:
Haley is being ridden
using a hackamore and
has not yet been tried
with a bit. Her foster
mom rides her out on the
road, and Haley is not
the least bit spooked by
traffic. They will be
working with her
more. She is her foster
mom’s favorite horse to
ride.
