Gypsy Rose
Breed: Arabian
Sex
: Mare
DOB: 2003
Height: 15.0 hh
Color: Red Roan
Markings: Blaze with three socks
Location
: Madisonville, TX
Adoption Fee: $250

Temperament: Gypsy Rose is still a little shy, but will let you walk right up to her and brush her. She does not want anyone messing with her legs or feet, so trimming her is still a fight. She is very loving, just not secure on trusting humans completely. She leads well, and will eat from your hand. She is easy to work with and seems curious to learn.

Physical problems / health issues: She has no health issues known.

Interaction with horses: She is very good with other horses. She loves flirting over the fence with the boys, and is currently with another mare.

Interaction with people: She is good with people. It does not seem to matter if it is someone new. She will still come up to anyone to see if they have something for her to nibble on.

History: Seized by law enforcement.

Training / abilities:I do not think she has had any training in the past. It is obvious she was abused before she was seized. She is curious to learn, sometimes a little stubborn, but will do what you want as when she is secure you will not hurt her. She never tries to kick, even when you walk right behind her. She just has some trust issues. We have placed our weight on her back and she did not mind. We have not tried the saddle yet.

Experience level required to work with this horse: Advanced

Has this horse ever:  Bucked? Unknown. Reared? She has reared in the past before trusting us, but is not doing it anymore.  Kicked? No. Bitten? No, but loves to lick the hand that has had peppermint candy. Other?

Ground handling: Catch? She will be your best friend with a bucket of feed, but she is not hard to catch. Lead? She leads with ease. Tie? Yes. Trailer? No. Clip? Not yet. Trim Feet? No. Bathe? No.

Special needs: No special needs, just lots of love and attention to keep her going with her learning and training.
