Temperament:
Gracie used to be
reactive, but she is
very quiet now. She
tries hard to understand
and listens very well.
Physical problems /
health issues:
The vet believes that
she has a rotten tooth,
but at the moment the
dentist won’t be able to
handle her.
Interaction with horses:
Gracie does well in the
herd.
Interaction with people:
Gracie loves being
handled and comes to
everyone now. Extremely
friendly. She has
developed a lot of trust
and is such a pleasure
to work with. Quite
stunning in her new
pictures. Even with her
winter coat she gleams.
I really like her a
lot. She has come a
long way and is really
trying.
History:
From the Hunt Co.
seizure. She was very
malnourished.
Training / abilities:
This horse had never
been handled until
coming to HfH. Grace is
now under saddle and
doing well. We think
Grace will make a good
play day pony one day.
She is a little bit lazy
and would most like to
follow. She is still a
little unsure when being
mounted, and the first
time Harry did mount her
she galloped around the
round pen. After that,
she got over it and
walks and trots, but
would rather not canter.
UPDATE MARCH 14, 09:
Grace can still be
reactive. Harry went to
give her a bath, and she
did not like it. I can
give her a bath and she
is fine with that, she
needs to gain trust.
This is generally the
case with all of the
rescues. With more
maturity, as she is just
4 y.o., Grace should be
a nice horse. Look at
those pictures, she is
gorgeous!
