Temperament:
Ginger is shy, energetic
and high spirited.
Physical problems /
health issues:
She has slight limp
after vigorous exercise,
probably due to old
split in rear hoof.
This is still under
evaluation.
Interaction with horses:
Very interested in
other horses across the
fence. She is currently
pastured with her
companion, a 22 yo blind
gelding. Ginger is very
energetic and friendly
due to her youth.
Interaction with people:
Ginger is shy and
avoids contact with
people. She is very
alert to all human
movement and does not
allow people to touch
her. Her curiosity helps
her accept people as
they approach within a
certain distance, but
for now, we are still
working on gaining her
trust of people.
History:
Ginger was rescued with
her companion Fred from
auction.
Training / abilities:
Untested. Currently
working on trust and
getting her to accept
touching.

Advanced or experience
with starting young

Special needs:
Ginger is a young,
excitable mare, who has
had very little human
handling. She will need
consistent handling and
ground training. Until
she can be handled
safely, and her limp can
be evaluated, her
prospects for riding are
unkown.
