Temperament: Eureka is sweet and calm.  She takes everything in stride and is very tolerant of anything that comes her way.  She has the potential to be “bomb-proof.”  She is a content horse.

Physical problems / health issues: She has a stretched belly and a sway in her back, probably as a result of freely breeding before she was seized.  She came into HfH care in very poor condition including being underweight and pregnant.  She gave birth, weaned her foal, and now has good muscle tone and is a healthy weight.  Her coat is full and soft; her mane and tail are thick and healthy.  Her eyes are bright.  She is an easy keeper.

Interaction with horses: Eureka is in the middle of a small herd and is confident in her place.  She respects the alpha mare and does not bully those lower than her.

Interaction with people: When she came into HfH care, Eureka was very wary of people and chose to isolate herself in the far end of the pasture.  She has learned to trust humans and is now fine with everyone.  She moves easily among people.  She loves to be brushed and enjoys the attention.  She comes when her foster family members whistle for her.

History: Very little known except she was part of the Palestine 18 seizure.

Training / abilities: Eureka is very rideable.  Her favorite speed is slow and easy.  She has had children, good riders, and virtual non-riders on her back without any problems.  Given a choice, she would probably rather not be ridden but does nothing to protest it.

Experience level required to work with this horse: Beginner.

Has this horse ever:  Bucked? No Reared? No Kicked? No Bitten? No Other?

Ground handling: Catch? Yes Lead? Yes Tie? Yes Trailer? Yes, but prefers not to be alone in the trailer Clip? Unknown Trim Feet? Yes Bathe? Yes

Special needs: TLC from a forever family.
