Explain overall socialization:
She was adopted and returned, (through no fault of her own), and just arrived so she is still a bit nervous. She has a kind eye and was sweet once she realized nobody was going to hurt her. |

Explain manners:
She performs adequately with experienced handlers. She needs to adjust to what you are asking her to do , (slowly), and to be worked with to gain your trust, but is willing. She was in a larger herd, (including the group she came in with), and was nervous being separated, but that was to be expected. Once caught, she led well. We have not tried to bathe her, but it was reported that she did well with bathing and farrier. |

Explain overall training:
This was her first evaluation since arriving back at the facility recently so she was a little nervous being separated from the group she came in with. Once she calmed down, she could be saddled. She needs to be worked with to stand for saddling, mounting, and taking the bit, but again, this could have been nerves from being in a new environment. She is a beautiful and smart mare and looked great under saddle! |
