Diego is a gorgeous
cremelo with blue
eyes. He is very willing
to learn and loads in a
matter of 5 minutes if
given the chance to
check things out. He
really likes the
attention now and is
willing to please.
Physical problems / health issues:
He came in malnourished,
but is doing well
now. He does have soft
feet, so he needs front
shoes. With those, he’s
fine.
Interaction with horses:
Diego doesn’t do well in
a mixed herd. If there
are mares around, he
gets competitive with
other geldings. He would
be fine with either just
geldings, or just mares.
Interaction with people:
He came in very scared,
but now loves people. He
is still a bit unsure,
but if you move slowly,
he’s just fine.
History:
Seized and awarded to
HfH.
Training / abilities:
He has been working with
a trainer, and now rides
well. He doesn’t like to
move too fast, so he
would not be a good
barrel horse, but he
collects beautifully. He
would be a gorgeous show
horse, and his trainer
believes that a somewhat
older child could do
well on him. A child
about 8 or 9, who is in
lessons and wants a show
horse, would be great
for Diego. He could do
equally well in English
or Western. He has been
put over jumps on a
lunge line, and went
over them with no
hesitation.
