Horses need time to adjust when moved to new surroundings. We highly recommend you visit, spend time with the equines and evaluate the equine before making a decision"

Explain overall socialization: He gets along with most everyone but LOVES the ladies. He is the alpha in the herd of 70 horses here at our ranch. He does not do well with other dominant geldings and it would not be advisable to put him with any horse who will challenge him.  He will fight to keep his status and always wins. A compliant gelding would be a good buddy for him as mares distract him quite a bit which makes it hard for him to focus on the task at hand. He is friendly though and has never shown any aggression or bad temperament towards his humans. He loves to get his little nose scratched!

Explain manners: Cyrus can be pushy but is good on the ground overall. He is a likeable kind of guy who just needs someone who can understand his point of view.  He is easy to be around, but tends to be a little bull headed if you are leading him and he wants to go in a different direction.  You can go in his stall and clean while he is in there eating without any issues.  He is friendly and likes to be petted.

Explain overall training:  Cyrus is OK undersaddle. He needs a lot of work. His mind is always on the girls though which makes it hard to work with him. He needs to be taken to an arena or area without “distractions” to keep his focus. Without the girls around he would probably be a very good horse under saddle and in hand.

Explain history if known:  Cyrus was relinquished to Animal Control in Greenville, Texas. He was used as a stud in his previous home.
