Temperament: Initially Cupcake seemed to be very easy going.  She gets a little pushy when leading, especially if food is around.  Not long after coming in, she was taken to a new barn for a weekend of evaluation.  While there, she unexpectedly kicked a person who had gone into her stall to pet her.  Her new foster home has found that Cupcake gets very anxious at feeding time and will kick out unless she is in a secure place away from other horses/donkeys and people.  This had gotten progressively better the longer she has been at this home.  It may be that she is very insecure due to her neglected condition.  
 

Physical problems / health issues: Cupcake initially had an abcess wound, but it is healing nicely and she doesn't seem as depressed as before.  Her abcess has stopped oozing pus and is starting to close up. 

Interaction with horses: She needs to be kept away from others at feeding time.

Interaction with people: She actually talks to me now when I come outside and has a happier look in her eye.  She is a sweet old girl and only kicks when she is defending her food.  She actually seeks attention now.
