Temperament: Very intelligent; Easy going and not silly or flighty.  Affectionate and a real sweetheart.

Physical problems / health issues: None.

Interaction with horses:  Very no nonsense. Not easily intimidated but not nasty either.   Bonds easily with other mares and is very protective of his friends.  He loves to play with other geldings across our fences and he presently is pastured with a mare, a mini donkey and llamas.  Has no problems in the herd and is situated in about the middle of the pecking order.

Interaction with people: Beau transitioned from being overly cautious with people to now being a pleasure to work with.  He likes people, is curious and wants your attention.   He is intelligent and a very quick learner.

History: Seized due to neglect with his mother “Chulita” and two other horses.

Training / abilities: Beau  overcame his earlier fears of rakes, shovels or other long handled tools and is now quite normal for a four year old gelding.  If he was abused at an early age, he has gotten past those traumas and now works enthusiastically during his ground training which has prepared him to go under saddle and start his riding training.   Due to his smaller size and quiet disposition, he will become an excellent youth horse.  I also visualize him pulling a cart and wouldn't he be something!

Experience level required to work with this horse: Intermediate.

Has this horse ever:  Bucked? No. Reared? No. Kicked? No. Bitten? Nipped during grooming once when he was younger, but is past that now Other?

Other comments: Beau is a tough little guy just waiting for someone to give him a "forever home" and to finish his training.  This guy won't disappoint you.  He is super smart and follows a calm handler’s lead very readily.  He is adorable and looks like a small “Black Beauty” with his black coat and star.
