“These assessments are based on how these horses respond in their current environment and any change in their current environment, riders, diet, etc could have an effect on the horses' immediate performance. Horses need time to adjust when moved to new surroundings. We highly recommend you visit, spend time with the equines and evaluate the equine before making a decision"

Explain overall Health:  Chloe is an older horse but is in good health.  She is a messy eater and does best on pelleted food rather than whole grains.  Her eyes water when there are flies around so a mask helps during fly season.  She has a swayback.

Explain overall socialization:   Chloe loves people.  She is calm, loves treats, and enjoys being the center of attention.  If she does not know you, she can be standoffish at first.  Chloe has a lot of spunk but is not antsy, hyper, or high-strung as many of her breed are.  She is a loner and would prefer to be an only horse.  She does not really like other horses much nor does she like dogs getting too close to her.

Explain manners:  Chloe’s manners are excellent.  She is cooperative and easy to handle.  Her only fault is that she is very protective of her food so she won’t let you share it once it is hers.  Find your own food somewhere apart from her if you are hungry, too.

Explain overall training:  When Chloe was tested by the ranch staff, all she did was back up.  With the sway in her back, it would be hard to find a saddle to fit her.  With her advanced age, riding is not advisable so Chloe is listed as companion only.  She would make a wonderful backyard horse for someone.

Explain history if known: Chloe was found as an estray in Walker county and donated to HfH.
