“These assessments are based on how these horses respond in their current environment and any change in their current environment, riders, diet, etc could have an effect on the horses' immediate performance. Horses need time to adjust when moved to new surroundings. We highly recommend you visit, spend time with the equines and evaluate the equine before making a decision"

Explain manners:

Charlie has excellent ground manners. He can be easily caught, haltered, led, and tied. He especially enjoys being groomed. He picks up his feet just fine. He stands still for shots. When he had a sore on his jaw, he let the ranch staff tend to it without fuss. He has not been bathed or sprayed but the chances are good that he won’t object to either one.

Explain overall training:   Charlie has not had any formal training due to his youth. There are no signs that he could not be trained to be a good riding horse. He has an agreeable personality and should be a willing student of someone with experience in training a young horse.

Explain history if known:    Charlie was awarded to Habitat for Horses due to neglect on the part of his owner. He was part of a large seizure where more than seven other horses died of starvation.
