Temperament: Brie has a very kind, calm temperament. However, she does not like to be touched. She maintains about two feet between her and the person at all times. She is not skittish, she will just back away.

Physical problems / health issues: None known.

Interaction with horses: She bonds very easily with other horses and donkeys. She is generally a leader in the herd. She is a very benevolent and tolerant leader. She puts up with a very irritating donkey at her foster home. She doesn’t seem to mind when he pulls on her halter or her tail. She is very accepting of new horses into the herd.

Interaction with people: She clearly likes to be around people and always comes up when her fosters are in the pasture. She is curious and always wants to be where the action is. She is very wary though of being touched and will always keep a distance. She will come into the stall or round pen with a person as long as she feels confident they won’t try to touch her. She particularly is concerned about someone touching her head. She absolutely loves cookies but will not take one from your hand and will deny herself the cookie rather than take it from your hand if that is the only option.

History: She was seized by law enforcement and awarded to the organization.

Training / abilities: None, her foster has patiently worked with her and while now she is comfortable existing around people it appears she, at least for now, can’t make the leap to being touched.

Experience level required to work with this horse: Advanced.

Has this horse ever:  Bucked? No. Reared? No. Kicked? No. Bitten? No. Other?

Ground handling: Catch? No. Lead? No. Tie? No. Trailer? No. Clip? No. Trim Feet? No. Bathe? No.
