Explain overall socialization:  Benny is in pasture with two mares. He ignores one but is best friends with the other. Anyone can walk up to him in the pasture and hook him up to his lead.

Explain manners: Anyone can walk into the pasture, hook him up to his lead and lead him wherever they want. He leads well, stands for the ferrier every 6 weeks with no problems. He moves some while being saddled and is sometimes hesitant to take his snaffle bit.  He doesn’t like baths much but loves to be groomed. He only kicks when feeding. No biting or bucking. Had a choking problem in his previous foster home but is on a pellet type feed and has not choked since we have had him.

Explain overall training:  Seven year old granddaughter rides Benny sporadically.  He has to be reined hard to keep him from running. He reins well and stops well. Have only ridden him in pasture but has gone around barrels and poles.

 

Explain history if known:  Had a choking problem in his previous foster home but is on a pellet type feed now and has not choked since we have had him.
