Horses need time to adjust when moved to new surroundings. We highly recommend you visit, spend time with the equines and evaluate the equine before making a decision"

Explain manners:  She is a young girl, but overall has very good manners.  My vet and former trimmer all love her.  She is not an in your pocket horse, so is not easy to catch in a pasture.  However, she does not have a problem in the stall.  She will pin her ears, but it is an old learned habit and she means nothing by it.  She is mildly jumpy with fly spray and a bath, but settles well.  She is good to trim if someone holds her, but will test me if I don’t have someone helping me.  Overall, she is very easy to work with and has no issues.

Explain overall training:  Ava has not been trained.  However, she has a low flight instinct and readily yields to pressure on her sides, which is not the norm for a horse.  She is very smart and figures things out quickly.  I was going to start training her myself, by due to home issues, cannot do that.  However, I believe that she will learn very quickly and do well.  She has a really nice conformation.  She just needs someone who can work with her regularly.

Explain history if known: Donated to HFH.
